Our Newman Catholic Center was formally organized as the Newman Club at Northwest on September 12, 1922.  We have always been a place of great hospitality, prayer, friendship, and faith.  Each year, students who were raised Catholic and others who have not experienced the Catholic Faith before find their home here, growing closer to Jesus and His Church.  We fully embrace the Catholic Faith in union with Pope Francis and the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Kansas City – St. Joseph, seeking to celebrate the Mass and other sacraments with reverence, and to know our Catholic Faith better each day.

We are grateful for the ministry of our priests, especially our Chaplain, Fr. Gabriel Lickteig, and the Benedictine Monks of Conception Abbey, who celebrate most of our Sunday Masses.  Please offer a prayer as you visit this site for our priests, who are such great gifts to our Catholic Church and to our students here at Northwest Missouri State.
